We use an insuflon port for Emma's injections right now. They have been on her belly mainly.
When we remove it, it leaves adhesive marks that we have a hard time getting off.
I thought I had seen some threads recently about how to remove that adhesive but now I can't find them. Can anyone help with tips to remove the adhesive that's left over after I move her insuflon?
Thanks!

Unisolve is totally a godsend! Before trying unisolve we tried nail polish remover (a nurse told us about it). Unisolve works much better! No matter what you use, you have to make sure and wash off the site afterwards as those chemicals are pretty harsh.

We use unisolve but if she only has residue on the skin you might could try some babyoil.

We use 'Remove' wipes, same thing as Uni-Solve. Our secret was soaking the area thoroughly and letting it sit for a minute or two, then the site comes right off and I use the moisture left in the wipe to clean the skin.

I asked a similar question when we brought Tony home-he had marks from all the bandaids and iv's. I was told to use the skin so soft oil and it worked great!

We use some wipes called "TacAway". Ordered them from the same place we bought our Skin Tac to keep the sites on. Torbot.com.

Nancy- Shealyn had those tell-tale circles all over her hips/bottom until we discovered the TacAway wipes. Lol... trying to get it off was just horrible. We used baby oil a few times which helped, but just didn't quite do the trick. Good luck in your search.

The minimed company has some samples the may be able to send you. My daughter uses their pump, and they sent us several samples of adhesive remover.
There's also a comnpany called torbot (www.torbot.com) where you can request free samples of skin-tac and remover.
Minimed's # is 1-800-minimed.
Good luck.

I use "De-Solv-It" which I buy from the supermarket. It works the same as the more expensive wipes. Be sure to wipe any removal product away really well :cwds:

Believe it or not, we have used Goo-Gone to clean off the adhesive from both her tummy and from the quick inserter and then just wipe down with an alcohol swab.

We have tried:
unisolve...Liv got red bumps from it
remove...still got red bumps
baby oil...didn't work well for removal
skin so soft original bath oil by Avon...worked OK
tac-away...some of the wipes were a bit dry...worked OK
detachol...this worked the best for Liv without the red bumps...I just ordered some more...I hope we have finally found something that works for us. :cwds:
