I have not been dx'd with type 2....yet. I do check my bg...fasting is higher than normal - this morning 107. If I watch my carb intake, the post prandials are really close to target...but there are definitely some spikes when I eat simple carbs.

I haven't been diagnosed, but I have other health issues so my doctor did some tests at my last physical. My insulin was high, but my bg was fine. Time to start paying attention. :(

Honestly, with my family history of diabetes (T2) and my thyroid issues I've always considered Type 2 a "when" and not an "if", so now I know to start being more careful with what I eat than I have been in the past. I'm also trying to be more consistent with my exercise.

Have you been tested for the antibodies for type 1, Ellen? That sounds like me for a few years before I was diagnosed w/type 1!!! Fastings were always around 110-125 at home. And postprandials were not bad at all -- 120's to the occasional 145... And then it all went bad from there. In 6 months fasting were 180, postprandials were 280...

Yes, they were negative.
