So, has anyone else noticed thier D child more likely for their feet to fall asleep?
My oldest never had this issue much but it seems that if Karsyn sits on her feet AT ALL, she will most definitely suffer from her feet falling asleep. Trying to decifer what is diabetes related and what is not. Anyone else experience this more often than most?

It happens often at our house. And, it usually happens whenever she sits on her feet.
I asked the Endo about it, and he said NOPE, not related to D!?

After diagnosis, Emma's feet always fell asleep. Her feet were 'tanglely'. She doesn't complain about them anymore.
I know a Diabetic that didn't take care of himself in his 20s and now in his 30's he's kicking himself in the butt because he doesn't have any feelings in his legs anymore. He goes to the beach and can't feel the water until it hits his knees. I can assume because of that, he always felt his legs falling asleep.
So this in mind, Emma's feet falling asleep could have been a side effect of always being high before Dx. Or we could chalk it up to growing pains. I know my feet fall asleep no matter how I sit on a floor for more than 5 minutes and I test myself every once in awhile and I'm fine.

Interesting question. My cwd does tend to have her feet fall asleep more often. But then again so do I. I don't really think it's d-related.

I have some neuropathy and I can tell you, there is a big difference-- the feeling is completely different from your feet falling asleep, and without intensive bg monitoring and treatment, it doesn't go away.
Just my 2 cents!
