Hey everyone, my name is Alison and I am 16 years old. I was just diagnosed with diabetes two weeks ago today, on April 20, 2006. And I was wondering if there were any 17 or 17 year old boy or girls (it doesn't matter which) that would want to be "pen pals" except with email. :D

Great idea!!! I MET two other diabetics, type I over 20 yrs ago.. I STILL Write to them and talk on the phone.. I am now 44 years old.. It's really helpful speaking to others with diabetes tocompare notes and learn new things.

Hi alison,that is so strange because I was diagnosed on the same day ( the day after my 13th birthday) did you have to go into hospital too????:eek:
