Aidan will be going to a water park tomorrow for the 1st time...I am looking for advice about how to deal with the pump and site while we are there.

He is on the MM 722, so it will have to come off while sliding, riding, swimming, how do others handle basals while doing so...he swims amost daily at inlaws house but he eats, gets a bolus, swims, checks, reconnects, eats and gets a bolus when we are done.

Just wondering how others handle days at water parks etc.

We've either disconnected and do what you said you did at your in-laws house (give replacement basal when needed and reconnect for boluses, etc) - or we left the pump on since his is waterproof. When we took it off I kept it with me because there was no one around who could watch it and I had to stay in the water with him. I wore it in a sports case that hung on a lanyard around my neck. No way would I leave it unguarded. The other option is to keep it in a park locker (maybe in a Frio bag or with cool packs if it is hot - the park we went to was an indoor one in the winter!).

I have seen folks talk about using a case that MM makes that is waterproof - maybe get one of those for the future?

Most all big water parks have a first aide facility. So when we go we put Chase's in a bag with all his other supplies for the day and we take it to the first aide facility and they keep it in there. We just go there to check BS or to give Boluses if needed. We never have to make up for Basals that weren't given Chase usually runs low when swimming. Have fun.:D
