My son will be flying home next week and I was just wondering whathis Aunt needs to do at the airport. He has a pump and all his supplies coming back with him. Just trying to get prepared. Do I need to call the airlines to let them know he is Diabetic and that he is flying with his brother so no adults. Thanks for any advise!!! This is is first time to fly alone.

We are flying in a few weeks and the endo told me that we need a travel letter and all the insulin, needles, etc. need to be in the container with the medication label. My daughter just started pumping so they warned her that she might set off the security alarm and be pulled aside. He might want to warn them before walking through that his pump might set off the alarm. I hope he has a safe flight.

I usually print out the TSA website that Badshoe gave when I travel. Just in case the security people forget what the new and ever changing rules are.
Never had a problem, though.
