I HATE counting carbs! I found that if I do it messes up my blood sugar. I always have blood sugars in between 70-170ish. If I count carbs I go up into the 300. I know what my body needs and how much it needs. I also know when to resist and when to totally stop. Does anyone feel that they do this too?
Yea, i get the same thing, except i usualy go low instead of high. i kinda have an idea of what i'm consuming for carbs, but not an exact number, combine that with a few other things like activity level and current blood, and so i make some random number for insulin up and i come out near perfect almost every time.
it's weird how that works without using exact numbers to decide the exact amount of insulin to take. i think it has to do with the fact that if you're in tune with your body that you can somehow subconciously decide the right amout of insulin to take. although i think it's a good idea to have alot of experience behind you in how your body reacts before trying stuff like that.
