I read this book last week and I liked the general premise of the entire book. I wasn't so sure about the diabetes as a protection against the cold, or that Moalem has a good grasp of diabetes care. But I was intrigued.
Does anybody know about if diabetes offers any practical protection against the cold? If you run high, are you less likely to get frostbite? How high do those frogs' blood sugar actually get? Do they get diabetes complications, the frogs?
