There was a trial study last year. I took part in it.
While it gave VERY INTERESTING results to my Endo and I, I don't want it. You wear it just like an insulin pump and it's heavier.. Once or twice a year I would, but I don't want two cath's all the time.

I wanted to offer a correction: My Dexcom is LIGHTER than my pump... which ain't heavy. And because Dexcom's sensor doesn't have tubing to a separate transmitter, (Minimed does), I truly don't notice it. And I got TWELVE DAYS out of my last one, that's not a lot of stabbings. (Stabbings are as painless as the best of the spring-loaded infusion sets, too... really comfortable.)
I love it !!!! I can Treat the Trend, instead of treating just the bG.
This Thread doesn't really belong within 'Adults with Type 1', there is a separate discussion area for CGMS devices under 'Products'. You'll find a few more threads down there (I started one). But definitely, definitely start with CDW's own comparison page.
BTW, I don't know of ANYONE using the the Minimed RT, but the combined pump with CGMS, the 722RT, has some VERY happy users.
