have one on me!

I'm sitting here reading this board and Lia's outside playing in the backyard. I have a window looking over the yard just to my left. I have it cracked so I can hear her if she yells for any reason. Only cracked so as to not let in the hot air and keep the cool air inside. Well I can't see her (big yard, some trees) and haven't heard her singing or making any noise in a few minutes. Of course I start freaking out about her being low and being passed out or something. So I go to yell out the window, bending down and over while sitting in the chair so as to yell through the cracked window.

Well I couldn't quite get my mouth that low and the chair tipped a bit, but I still couldn't reach. Being lazy I didn't want to try and open the window more. So I leaned over more. And....tipped the chair and fell out against the wall and on to the ground on my hands and knees. Even worse, our computer is in the spare bedroom which is tiny and also the playroom/tv room. We have a futon in a really odd angle that kind of blocks in the computer chair and I had to really struggle to get myself and the chair upright again in such a tight spot. The wheels on the chair kept getting stuck in the back of the futon!

Finally did and opened the window more and yelled. Lia was fine!

:D

It always cracks me up how most non-D parents relish the times when their kids are quiet, but D parents immediately jump to the conclusion that they are passed out or seizing. :o

That was really funny!

I feel the same way. When Madison is too quiet I automatically suspect she has passed out. Even though she never has:)

LOL! That was priceless!!! It's so true that the minute there is peace and quiet in the house, I'm searching for Cam to see if he's okay!!!

Thanks for the chuckle!!! Now if only you had that on video.......... :D
