So today we had our one month follow up since starting the pump. In that month Samantha's A1c went from 7.5 to 6.7!!! And this is with a kidney infection and a virus occurring during that month. I couldn't be happier! This is our first ever reading below 7 in the five years that she has had D! I was hoping the pump would help lower her A1c and it has! :D:D:D
And the really good thing is that she really hasn't seen too many lows, so the A1c isn't skewed from a bunch of 40s and 50s. YAY!!!

That is wonderful. We just had our one month pump appointment, too, but our numbers were not nearly as good as yours. ;) I was a little disappointed, but we did drop .6, so at least it was an improvement.

YES!!! I still am totally sleep deprived because we can't get those night time basals right. But, all of the stress of learning everything and tweaking rates and ratios was sooooo worth it!!! I knew she would drop a little, because I have seen the kind of numbers she's been having but I had no clue she would be below 7 so early after switching!
Anyway, thanks to all of you guys for the encouragement and support. I am so happy that I have you all to turn to! Hugs all around!

Congrats Heidi! That's fantastic! I hope we have a similar result. 19 days and counting.... :D
