I don't know if people realize the significance of this. The wording is now changed from previous to include a health care team recognizing that teachers and other school personel should be part of the process.
This document supports delegation by the ANA. This is a huge deal when it comes to state law and delegation issues in the school environment. It means where nurses were looking out for their jobs primarily, they have now recognized that others can and should be part of the process in ensuring our childrens safety at school.
