Through the generosity of several groups (Synemed [www.synemed.com (http://www.synemed.com)], Canon, and faculty from the Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at the New Jersey Medical School), we will be offering free retinal screening again this year at Friends for Life.
Synemed will be bringing a non-mydriatic screening system, which means that no pupil dilation is required.
We'll be handing out tickets to the screening, with each ticket assigned a particular date and time. These will be available on a first come, first served basis at registration.
The order of preference will be teens with type 1, younger kids with type 1, adults with type 1, and then everyone else.
