I just began using the minilink earlier today :D and I was wondering how people travel with extra sensors.
I will be going to diabetes camp in july and it is about a 4 hour drive during the hot summer, do people keep the sensors cool by using a frio item. If you use a frio item, what product do you use. also i have heard about people using a frio pump pack but am not able to find them. If anyone know where to find either of these product could you tell me where you fould them, that would be great.

We just returned from a weekend trip--about 3 1/2 hours away-- with the minilink. My husband bought a bigger insulated lunch bag with a cold pack. We put everything we needed in it (times 2 because my husband is type 1, too). The sensors and insulin were closer to the cold pack than the sets, inserters, etc. It worked great! We were a bit disappointed that our hotel room didn't have a fridge. The hotel did have a fridge behind the front desk for us to use. Thankfully we didn't need the extras!

I'm not sure if I'd put a sensor in a frio wallet/bag, just because I'd worry about the needle getting bent.
We use a small electric cooler that can be plugged in to the car when traveling, and I always make sure we have plenty of ice packs. I put the sensor, (and insulin) in a small disposable plastic container so it will be protected from damage and insulated from the ice.
So far we've been able to request a fridge for our room at the places we've traveled. I guess otherwise we'd use dry ice to keep the cooler cold for long periods of time.
Have fun at camp! :)

What about flying with extra sensors?
Frio packs are a problem these days on-board as they are liquid based, no? I'd be worried about putting these in the suitcase because it might get lost. In Europe they just lowered the price of sensors to $50 a piece!
