We currently use the Accu-Chek Multiclix lancing device and I was wondering what everyone else uses and likes. I don't want to be missing out on a better one! My daughters fingers already look bad (she has a few favorite spots and you can really tell :( ). Anyway, just wondering!

We use accu-check multiclix too. I like not having individual lancets to deal with.

We use the Mulitclix as well. My son said it felt the best, and I like the convenience of the drum. It also helps that I never have to worry about sticking myself with it!:D I stuck myself all the time when he used the single lancets.

We also use the multi-clix and love it. The school recommended it as they have another student with type 1 and liked the no touching the needles part. This was a month or so after Lia was diagnosed and until then she was still a bit reluctant when it came time to check her blood. We then switched to the multi -clix and she said it didn't hurt at all compared to the other one and hasn't hesitated to check her blood since.
Prior to that we used the lancing device that came with the Ascensia Contour. We also have some that came with the Ultra Smart and Ultra Smart 2 (or whatever it's called). They are ok, but are only back ups. Like the time she left one meter at school and misplaced the multi-clix for the one I keep in my purse. We try to have lots of spares lol!

Jesse uses his arms for testing..(AST) . In the house he loves the vaculance lancer.. It sucks up the skin and makes a big bubble of blood. It makes it easier for me at night time, especially since he uses the freestyle flash.. with that wonderful lighted strip.....
When he's out and about, he just uses the flash lancing device with the clear cap for alternate site testing, since the Vaculance doesnt fit in the testing kit....

I like the ease of use of the Multi-clix (30 gauge)...but Liv finds it more painful than the BD lancet device with (33 gauge) lancets. The poke marks on her fingers are worse when we use the Multi-clix; so I prefer the BD in that area, too.
For us, it's the BD with 33 gauge lancets.:cwds:
Now, if the Multi-clix had a 33 gauge option....:D

we are currently using the bd 33 guage lancets, waiting on the multiclix to arrive so we can try it out.. we'll then decided.. I think I'll like the fact that I don't have to change the lancet or poke myself:) but its up to Kaylee on which one feels better:)
:) Currently I'm using softclix, but I plan to switch to multiclix soon.

The funny thing is that Braden used to use the BD 33g. We tried the Multiclix because we got it free- and he thought it hurt less?!?! I actually started a thread on this topic some time back and was told that the Multiclix has less side-to-side movement so some think it is less painful. I'm sure what each person prefers is different, but Braden likes the Multiclix over the 33g BD lancets. I would absolutely use whichever he prefers regardless of convenience.

Initially we were using the lancing device that came with my daughter's meter, the One-Touch Ultra-2. But since hearing that the multiclix was supposed to be less painful, we got one a couple months ago and my daughter definitely prefers the multiclix. :)

Multiclix. I love the drum no little individual lancets floating around!

We used to use One Touch lancing device with the BD 33 gauge lancets. Now we use the same lancets with the Freestyle lancing device. My daughter never complains of pain with testing, and has never noticed a difference between different lancing devices (or clickers, as we tend to call them at our house). She definitely notices the difference between run of the mill lancets and the super thin BD lancets, though. It is a darn good thing those lancets fit in every device we've ever used.

We also use the multi-clix. We had a TON of different styles when we left the hospital and got the mulit clix a couple of months later. Once Hailey tried that there was no going back LOL. There was a day a few weeks back when we thought we lost the multi and I pulled out a back up, Hailey told me she would rather slice her finger with a knife than use any other lancer :O Fortunatly we found another in my purse :cwds:

LOL!! My daughter also misplaced her Multiclix and thought it was gone, and so I grabbed the old ***** that came with her meter and she told me she would rather use a rusty nail. LOL :D She found her Multiclix in the bottom of her backpack later..so we didn't need the rusty nail. LOL :D

We use the multiclix as well(thanks Nicole, Lanae). Tori says it hurts less than the one that came with the One touch Ultra2.

I've heard the one your using is the best...I'm going to go buy one to try...Have you tried her arms? Our endo says it's ok unless Seth's low. I have found that it's very close to his finger #. For the most part...

I didn't read the other posts but Pelikan was at CWD FFL and several people were enjoying trying out their product - it holds 50 lancets at a time

I can't find it online right now .

I am amending my post. We've been converted! My DD got a multiclix up at camp and we've been using it ever since she came home. She says that half the time she can't even feel it.

i like the softclix...it hurts less, but it took me an hour to figure out...unclear directions are irritating
