Does anyone know the carb counts in the generic "chicken fingers" which are on every children's menu? Unfortunately, restaurants never post nutritional info for children's menus. We normally go to Olive Garden, Friday's, and Applebee's with the kids.

Where does everyone go with their kids out to eat and what do you order for them?

Thanks!

*cough* DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a scienctific method.

The chicken nuggets that we get from Sams have 3 carbs in each nugget. When we eat out, we figure out how many nuggets would fit in each finger and multiply accordingly. So far, so good! We don't eat at McDonald's, but you could maybe do a Chicken Selects comparison.

And yea, my 15yo is a chicken nugget/fingers addict. :p

Hi Lizzy! Try www.calorieking.com. They have extensive lists of the carb amount for all kinds of foods and restaurants. Most of us here swear by them!

You can also find Calorie King books at most bookstores for about $8.00. They don't have nearly as much information as the website does, but it helps when I'm out.

Calorie King also has a PDA-based database you can purchase for $30 and download. My husband did this and we look things up at restaurants from that. I don't carry one, so I just use the book or look things up on the computer before I go.

Hope that helps!

We guess at it but most servings are around 15 carbs. Six McNuggets at McDonalds are 15. 5 of the ones we make at home are 11 carbs.

We normally guess 15 carbs also but I also have to agree with the last response Calorie King is used all the time here If we need to know the carbs of anything!

I LOVE RED ROBIN!!!! I have to force myself to order something with chicken when I go there though(which isnt often), the burgers are so big the cholesterol would probably send me over the edge.

I LOVE RED ROBIN!!!!

Yeah, so do we! We go through spurts at work where we will eat there twice a week. It is so sad, because I know exactly what it is doing to my arteries! We were boycotting them for a while because they provided no nutritional information and were not very customer friendly upon inquiry. But we finally got a decent response from them, so now we can once again enjoy all of those saturated fats! YUM!
