I always keep an eye on the anonymous pharma boards and this post (http://http//www.cafepharma.com/boards/showthread.php?t=179540&page=2)popped up last week:
"Well, now, the rumor mill is cranking up to warp speed lately!
Seems word on the street is Navigator is days away from being approved and the new codeless meter (yes, it will replace Flash...another dumba** decision) should be approved (if it hasn't already been) shortly.
Personally, I could give a sh** about Nav (since only KAM's will be pushing it on a regular basis) but, the new meter should be a lot of fun to peddle."
Abbott just announced today (http://www.abbottdiabetescare.com/adc_dotcom/url/content/en_US/0:0/general_content/General_Content_0000260.htm)that the Freestyle Lite (codeless meter) was approved on April 16.
So this one rumor mentioned above was true.
I have not seen rumors on the Abbott board about Navigator before this so there may be some movement forward on the approval front. They have been VERY tightlipped. Someone even called it the secret society of ADC :)
Take it for what it's worth, I just thought this was interesting. Of course Abbott is having a quartely conference this morning and they have said that Navigator is still under FDA review.
