I didn't read the article but want to agree with it. Ryan's endo was THRILLED when we brought the med forms for him to sign so Ryan could get certified. He did that last Spring. We went to Cozumel, Mexico for Spring break and he dove with us. We had a great time!

I haven't read the article yet, but I remember that scuba diving instructor was one of the very few things that the Specialists told us Jordan COULD NOT do because of diabetes. And that was one year ago tomorrow!
The list was a very short one, and they were trying (at diagnosis) to explain to Jordan that out of all the professions in the world, this one thing was one of the few (less than a handful) of professions that he could not do as an adult. Besides, we live in Indiana, so scuba diving instructor isn't on his top 10!!! :D
