DH seems to think that maybe ours doesn't work right.

Is yours really slow compared to the Quickserter with the Quicksets?

He thought that even the nurse that did our start thought there was an issue too. I seem to think if she thought it was wrong maybe she would have said something.

Maybe he is just used to putting the sites on?

Yes it is slower than the Quickserter .

To be honest with you, I would call and ask for a new one. I dont think it is slower at all. We use the quick-sets for the infusion sites.

i also think you should ask for a new one. i've seen people here and there who have solved a 'slow' senserter problem succesfully by getting a new one.

We did have a problem with our last serter, the spring wasn't strong enough and the sensor would stop just short of going all the way in. This caused trouble with the tape and was a complete PITA because I do site changes by myself and there were a few times that I had to manually push the needle the rest of the way in, re-stick the tape, etc. all while trying to keep Emma still.
The new serter fixed this immediately! It should be strong enough and fast enough to instantly the push that needle all the way in and make the tape stick flat against her bottom. If it seems like it's not quite right definitely get a new one before your next attempt.

Good Luck!!

Ditto both Amys. I haven't noticed any difference between the quick-serter and sen-serter.

Thank you for this post ... ours is a little slow too and I blamed myself for not getting it right when I had to push in the needle last time, just as you describe Amy of Emma fame.

And two of three sensor sites have ended up bleeding a bit, both times on Day 3. Wonder if that is connected.

Anyway, just put the call in to get a new one. Thank you thank you. Don't know what I would do without you all.
