We're starting on the MiniLink!

We received our MiniLink last week and have a date for training--next Thursday. YEAH! :) I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I've been lurking aroung this forum for about a week now (I'm always on the Parents forum) reading everything I can from your experiences so far. I think I've learned a lot so far but know many more questions will come. It's great to have your practical experience right at my finger tips!!!

Tell me, what is the number 1 thing you know now, that you wish you knew before you started on the MiniLink. Just curious....

I don't think I can come up with just one thing I wish I'd known.... maybe that finger sticks won't decrease right away.
We did more finger sticks than normal at first because I was always double checking the readings. This was probably a really bad idea because they were often during rapid changes. But, after a few months it's a whole different world! We now have days that I only test when I get the 12 hour "meter BG now" alarm!!!!! :eek: I'm always shocked that I haven't done a finger stick in 12 hours~! (this is only on days with really good numbers, but it actually does happen) WOW!!!!!!!
