Photo Uploading Ability

I'm looking into adding an ability to create photo galleries as an add on to these forums. Please let me know if you think this is a good idea or not -- realizing that we'd most likely require all uploaded photos to be reviewed before being available.

Do you think it is really necessary? It seems that it would require serious resources to review everything. Pictures can already be added to posts and it does not seem to me that each picture is reviewed.

There could be a reporting mechanism like there is for posts. Should some find a picture objectionable, they could report it and those would be reviewed by CWD. If necessary X number of objections would automatically remove the picture until CWD reviews it. etc.

I am not sure how the site works, but maybe you could find volunteer moderators (unless you already have them) who could remove objectionable photos should they find their way onto the forum. Just a thought.

The only thing I would worry about is perverts being able to steal our pictures. I was very active in a cloth diapering community and this became a HUGE problem! Many many parents found thier children's photos on some really bad sites and were unable to remove them until the government got involved and shut the sites down only to have them reopen under other names several times. I would love to be able to post pics of my dd that would be in a safe way. Is there a way to prevent someone who has less than x amount of posts from being able to see the photos section? Being part of a community where photos were stolen has me very nervous about posting photos again. I have posted a few pictures of Hailey here but I have been VERY carefull with the content, background, etc... of those photos to make them undesireable to those pervs.
