Hi All,
Does anyone have directions or a quick reference sheet that they use with babysitters or preschool? I am about to update our old one with CGM related information and directions and would love to see what others are doing.

Thanks!
Rachel

I am interested in this also, Hailey will be getting her minimed realtime as soon as the insurance and minimed agree on a reimbersment schedule :D I have no clue where to start when trying to explain this to the 6 teachers Hailey will have next year in junior high :O

Here is the user guide for the MiniMed MiniLink CGMS. I would recommend downloading this, uploading it to fedexkinkos.com and you can have it printed out and pick it up at a Kinkos near you.

Thanks, I got one of those with our pump since they knew our cgms was coming soon. I am going to have to sit down and write up a much more shortened and condenced version as I KNOW that there is no way that those teachers will sit down and read all 76 pages AND understand it LOL. Even if we had a kinkos within a 100 mile radius I probably couldn't afford what it would cost to print all of those up ;)

It will probably take me quite a while but if I get one worked up Rachel I will post it for you (and anyone else reading). Your post got me thinking that I really need to start working on this asap!

Thanks all. I am editing my current 1-pager (needs to be a quick reference kind of thing) into a 2-pager with some images pulled from the MM web site.

I'll post it when I have a presentable draft ...

The trick seems to be to give enough information to have helpers feel confident ... but not so much that they are overwhelmed. I had someone look positively dizzy when I explained carb ratios to them!

Hi All,
Ok, so here is my first draft. The audience/user for this is anyone who is tending our son for a few hours - babysitters, preschool teachers, friends, etc. At first glance the numbers may seem a little high - but we've caught a low in the 60s off a 124 with two down arrows. We run things tighter at home (e.g., wouldn't treat a 100).

Would you send along any feedback? I am sure I've missed or goofed on something!

I will post a final draft in pdf here once it is ready for use. Also, I'll be happy to send in Word via email so you can modify - just pm me if interested.

THANK YOU!!

We are not on CGMS yet, but I want to thank you in advance! I don't know if there are any changes that need to be made, as I am not using it, but THANK YOU!!!! I homeschool, but I am sure it will come in handy with sitters and even my husband!
