Just Joined

I just joined. My friends call me Rini. I have just been told i have diabetes today. Tomorrow my dad is going to get my medicine for me since it won't be a big deal right now that I miss at least tomorrow. The thing that sux is that I have to prick my finger everyday for a while. I hate having to do it. I even hate getting blood taken. Both of my parents have diabetes type 2. Right now I am just so down. It didn't really hit me until I got home from getting my hair done. At least I waited until I got home to break-down.

When I found out I was in the hospital for 4 days! You should be glad. Also, don't you have to inject insulin?

I believe type 2 the doctor never really said what kind. So I figured it is probably type 2 for I am 17 and they just now said that I have it and no I don't have inject insulin and I don't think I could for I don't like needles. So ya I am kinda lucky.

Take Care of yourself! In lots of cases, Type 2 can be controlled by diet and exercise. Best of Luck!

Thanks. I plan of taking a lot of care of myself. I also have help from my parents since they both have diabetes type 2.

I don't like doctors so i don't like hospitals. i am not much of an ice cream person or dinner roll person and all the hospitals i been in because of my mother having surgery or some other problem always had bad tasting food.
