I'm working on making an emergency card- for when i babysit, so if i were to go too low the kids would be able to follow simple instructions of what to do.
anybody know of something like this or have ideas of what to put on it for them? they are very interested in my diabetes and like to help me and i figured that kendall(8) is old enough to take action if an emergency would would come up. the 7 year old and 5 year old could follow something simple, but i'm not sure how to go about this especially since the 5 year old doesnt read yet.
the kids are 8,7, and 5, and they're my neighbors

I got one from Bayer through Dlife.
On one side it has your doctor's name and phone number.
name of a contact person and phone number
your name and phone number and address.

On the other side it says
I have Diabetes
The it states
If I am unconcious or my behavior is peculiar, etc. I may be having a reaction associated with my diabetes or its treatment.
Then it says
Emergency Treatment
If I am able to swallow give me sugar in some form-
glucose tabs, pop (regular not diet) juice, millk, or any drink that has sugar.

Call my doctor or 911
You can also visit http://www.bayerdiabetes.comand see if they would send you a card.
Wishing you much success.
