Supporting parents of children with diabetes
Published: 16 February, 2007
SIR – Many of your readers will be parents of children with diabetes. The Insulin Dependent Diabetes Trust (IDDT) would like to support these parents and we wonder if you could help us.

Parents of children with diabetes are unsung heroes who, we know, never stop worrying and caring about their children even when they have grown up – and we think that they deserve all the support that they can get! As a result we produce regular Parents' Bulletins that are written by parents of children with diabetes or by people who have grown up with diabetes. They share their fears and suggestions for those scenarios where parents are unsure of what to do and need reassurance from people who have had the same experiences.
Our latest Parents' Bulletin is focusing on parents of teenagers.
As all parents know, the teenage years can be a particularly tricky time, but for parents of teenagers with diabetes the issues can be even more difficult to cope with.
