Well, I did it. I was brave enough to conquer my own irrational fears of nightime. I put Maddison in her own bed for the first time since 12-4-2006 when we were diagnosed! I feel so releaved, but SCARED at the same time! I am sure she will come into my bed around 3am or so.....but this is my first baby step. Mom has let go! I am sure alot of you think I am crazy, but I bet alot of you have been here too. 1st night down.....so many more to go!!
Did I mention it was easier becuase we bought Maddison a puppy? Yes, another Golden Retriever to add to our family! We are hoping to mold this puppy into sleeping with Maddison at night, to help her feel safe like before our other Golden died. I guess I did have some help in making that 1st step!;)
