Ok, so this is probably just a really stupid question but, as a first timer, I'll ask anyway. :p

For the tween night: is it meant to be tweens without the "rents" i.e. just tweens. How will I survive without her?

Also, on the schedule, I seem to recall it says "no dinner". I assume this means tweens must eat dinner before the social, right? Will there be snacks at the tween event?

I'm asking Maddie now - she says last year they served ice cream and other treats at the party but not "food" - she also says it's "really, really fun!";)

And it's Tweens without parents. They had a beautiful party set up with lots of glow sticks and glowie necklesses and music and dancing - really, like a Bar Mitzvah - your tween will have a great, safe, fun time.:cwds:

Do they have a DJ? Just curious how they get the kids to interact. I'm probably being naive but my 11 year old has studiously avoided school dances. In fact if I want to "encourage" him to get school work done I threaten to take him to go to the dance.;)

My son would not want to go to a dance either.

I asked Amelia about the DJ. She said yes they had one but he wasn't that good. The songs were from three years ago. But she said it was still loads of fun. This is what she's looking forward to the most. :D

Any idea of the dress code? Do you know if my son would be ok in shorts and a shirt?

Carol - we will have to pair them up and drag them over:p

I think shorts and a t-shirt is fine. I will send him clean - that is all I can promise.

My daughter loved it also. The girls dress more than the boys, so don't worry about it. If you can drag your sons there, they will have fun.

Nicole just asked me if I would be there too. I told her I didn't think so, but now I know.

Too funny. :p My son says he is too young to think about girls.:p
