Hello,
I was laid off from work and lost my insurance. Recently I was given 400 One Touch Ultra test strips but don't have that meter. Does anyone have an old One Touch they aren't using? I really could use one! Can send a private message or post here if you can help.
Thank you,
Doug

I believe I may have an extra one. Let me check at home. In the meantime, if you'd like to send me a message we can touch base with other supplies you may need that I have extras of, such as lancets.

or even the Ultra-mini (although the "mini" doesn't have the computer capabilities of the other models). Unlike the original "Ultra", which is becoming hard to find and is only sold at full price, the new Ultra-2 seems to be going on Sale for $9.99 every single week. Check your Sunday paper.) And often, even the 9.99 retail price is covered by a 100% mail-in rebate.

Doug, if you call lifescan they might give you a meter. If nothing else call you doctor, and CDE and explain your situation. They get free meters all of the time, and would probably give you one. Also some people donate extra supplies to local free clinics, you might be able to get some of the stuff you need there. There is also the Charles Ray lll diabetes foundation. http://www.charlesray.g12.com/ you could call them and see if they can help.
