God work in mysterious ways..... for the good. My husband is out of town and he usually gives the Lantus dose before he goes to work ( one less injection for grandmas to give). Well I forgot to load the Lantus dose for this morning ( I leave for work @ 2:30 am) so I called to let grandma know that I had forgotten and to tell her where it is. OMG all I heard was a big gasp. She had realized she'd been giving Lantus as his post breakfast meal instead of Novalog. So for 3 months he has been getting a double dose of Lantus on Mondays and Fridays. Had my husband not been out of town who knows when we would have found out. So for those who have relatives helping with d care mark the bottles clearly.

oh my gosh! I guess you have a pretty good explanation for any crazy numbers you may have had over the past few months. I am glad you found the mistake this way as opposed to another (worse) way.

Hopefully you'll get everything straigthened out and back on track soon!

We have a green container for the novolog and a purple one for nph. The containers fit snuggly around the bottles. I put a big N on the green one.

When Haley was dxd, a freind of ours sent them to us. But I have been unable to find one for the lantus.

We used to keep the bottles in seperate places. Novolog was kept in the meter case, and lantus in a chineese box drawer thing.

I'm sure once she gets used to the differences in the bottles she wont make this mistake. Jamie

I like to draw pictures on my lantus vials.
