Information Needs of Informal Carers Survey
You are invited to participate in this survey of information needs of informal carers. This survey looks at understanding the scenarios and experiences that informal carers may face throughout their caring journey which are related to their information needs. A research information sheet is enclosed (click on the ?link? for details). Information you provide will help to improve our knowledge about information needs of informal carers.
The survey will take about 15 minutes of your time to complete. Participation is voluntary and confidentiality will be maintained. The survey should be completed by a family member, relative, neighbour or friend who is:
? Over 18 years of age.
? Caring for other people who are unable to care for themselves for different reasons; i.e. frail elderly or significant disability, or chronic diseases.
? Involving in the caring process regularly and providing one or a combination of practical or emotional care.
? Unpaid for his/her caring duties, but may be employed in other work.
This research has been approved by the University of Melbourne-Human Research Ethics Committee (# 0717560.2) and it is under the supervision of Dr. Shanton Chang and Dr. Kathleen Gray.
