Hi everyone! So glad I found this board. My name is Christy and my son has been diabetic for almost two years now. He takes three insulin shots a day, has no desire to pump yet. Oh well. Looking forward to getting to know all of you! :)

My now 18 year old son was diagnosed with type 1, 17 years ago. He's been pumping 11 years.
Hi Christy! We are pretty much in the same boat. My 10-year old son was diagnosed in late May '04, and also has no desire to start pumping yet (though I would like him to, it is going to have to be his decision). I just found this site recently as well, in my quest to start getting his control up to the next level now that I have 2 years experience with the basics. Glad you found us. Welcome.
By the way, my son's name is Andrew also.:)
