I know this is OT , but I just have to tell you how much I love the iphone. We got a set on Saturday, and I am so impressed with all the sweet apps and how it is customizable. I was not thrilled at the cost and monthly fees of a cell phone but WOW, I think I might just love this phone!

I used the flashlight app last night when I had to run and get more strips... :D

Are there any other iphone users out there and are there any amazing apps I need to get?

What is the best diabetes app? I don't wanna buy them if they stink.

i like GPS Motion X. i use it when i run and it tracks distance, speed, etc. i think it was 4.99.

just got slacker, that one was free. it has tons of songs on it. it's like itunes, but free! very cool.

i browse the free ones and have downloaded some of the games and then just delete them if they are dumb.

i'll be interested to see what others say, i haven't spent a ton of time looking at apps and i'd love some other cool ones too.

i do love the phone also!

My DH has the bic lighter on his. I think it is the stupidest waste of space, but, hey, it entertains him. I guess you never know when you will suddenly be at a concert and need a tribute lighter on your Iphone.

Can't help you, I'm on a G1 which has tons of free apps, even those not blessed by the Hand Of Steve.

I use the Quicksheet App. It allows me to upload any of my Excel files into my phone. I can then make changes to the spreadsheet on my phone! I have uploaded my carb value/carb factor spreadsheet into both my phone and also into dh's phone. It comes in handy when we are out and I love that I can input new items instantly! They have a newer version, QuickOffice Mobile Office Suite, that includes the Excel capabilities and also Word capabilities. I'm going to look into upgrading the file.

Actually, I don't even bother with carb factors anymore when on the road. I just use the phone's web browser to look at Calorie King's mobile site (http://www.calorieking.com/mobile/).

We use "restaurants" for fast food carb counts. "Food IQ" has a bigger food db for carb counts, but is not as user friendly. I also find "now playing" useful for buying movie tickets online when we're out and about.

My husband is the king of dumb apps. He also has the lighter...ibeer...something that pops popcorn. His latest is this thing that looks like it is xraying his hand. Really got Westin with that one! :) Oh and he has this really cute bulldog that licks his screen clean.

LMAO! Our husbands are so much alike!! Mine has an app that makes weird noises and also one that does funny faces. The girls love these, not sure why though. I've seen them, they are pretty silly and dumb.

Ok, I pulled my phone out and looked. Here are some pretty useful apps ~ The Weather Channel
Google (if you like Google)
White Pages (you can look up numbers, addresses and even reverse search a number)
Epocrates ~ it's a medical app
Wikipedia ~ so you can look up those things the kids always ask and you wished you had an encyclopedia while travelling ;)
Pop Math ~ pretty cute way of getting kids to do "fast" math
USA Free ~ has ALL kinds of great facts about the USA! I love this app!! Will come in handy for school projects. ;):D
Passwords ~ so you never lose another password. It's encrypted so only you can access. Has a safety feature that locks out if someone tries to hack it.
Distant Suns ~ if you are kind of into the stars and planets.

I could go on and on. :D
