I'm bummed. It lists the diabetic dog PJ for the tweens and teens but not the 8-9 year olds!! My son will be bummed! :confused:I send an email to Laura to ask why.

I noticed the dog thing too - I would be surprised if the dog isn't make an appearance in the younger kids room too.
Let us know what Laura says.

There is not too much going on for the Tweens :(, maybe we should rather go next year, when she can attend all the Teen sessions.:confused:

Do they have sessions for siblings? I want to go at some point but my diabetic is my youngest kid and I have two others - what would I do with them?

The siblings go to all the regular sessions and supposedly (according to everyone I've talked to) the siblings have just as much fun as anyone else. The teens have a special session for siblings, but do the others? I'm not sure if they break out into smaller groups during the times indicated as
I noticed about the dog too...

Yes, PJ the dog is meeting with the elementary kids on Friday 10:45-12:00 under the session called Experiences. That info is missing - thanks for pointing it out. We'll add.

Oh believe me...the headings sound generic but they hit the ground running for all age groups and they don't stop. My older son (not D) was in the elem. age groups twice and had a blast. He is looking forward to the Tweens group this year. My younger son (with D) is finally old enough to go into the Elem. age group. I wouldn't wait until they are a teen just because of that.
ALL children (with diabetes or no) are welcome in the kids program. They go in their respective age groups and are treated the same.
