Does anyone leave their SureT's in for 72 hrs? As far as insulin delivery goes, we have no problems at all. But I keep reading that the steel canulas should be changed at 48 hrs minimum. Is the risk the scare tissue?

We use Rapid D's with William - same thing more or less I think - has the metal needle that stays in.
We change his sets every 48 hours generally. We started going 72 hours on one set every week so he gets a consistent bath night during the winter. We've not had problems with that longer set either - and no issues with scar tissue. I don't know that I'd want to leave every set in 72 hours unless you are having issues paying for them.

We do a 3 day set change with Rapid D's. No problems so far :cwds:

The difference with metal is that the skin heals faster, so it can close up the site, which forms a tube that the insulin leaks back out of.

Perhaps also your ability to get good site rotation would be a factor. That being said, we still only use the top of William's hips without problems.
We do 48 hours with Ross's Sure T's. BUT we do sometimes let it slide a bit longer. Like if we are supposed to change on a Friday night and we are out late, we will do it Saturday morning. But we really don't let it go longer.
