I just received our 2 sample Sure T's from Minimed.

Are there 2 parts? I don't want to open the package, but am just looking at the instructions.

It looks like there are alot of pieces compared to the Quickset?

Anyone know?

Yes, they are 2 parts and you disco away from the site w/ the Sure-T's. We tried them this weekend and didn't have good luck. Hope you have better luck than we did. I also didn't like the extra tubing that we had to tape to his body between the site and disco part.

I am not sure that we will like that either. I have enough trouble trying to keep everything out of her way on her little body!

thanks for the input!

I love our steel needle sets. Because it is a 'needle' you really do need to tape it down. They can cause a bit of damage if they scrape across the skin.
I find the tape actually keeps the tubing pointing the way I want it and out of the way.

Don't Forget - You CAN'T fill the 4" part of the infusion set AFTER insertion, it must be done before. Connect the set to the tubing, do "fill tubing" until insulin shows from the needle tip, fill cannula 0.0 and then insert the set. You don't have any cannula to fill.

I hope you find it works for you :)

After trying quicksets and silhouettes, I finally switched my 3 yr old to the Sure T's and I am much happier. Ditto on the above comment about taping them down, I made that mistake once and she pulled it out while pulling up her jeans. They're very easy to insert. I wish they didn't have the tail, it does stink to have the extra stuff on her, but it makes it better when disconnecting because it's not pulling on the site itself. Good luck.
