All right gang, this is serious , I am not at liberty to say why but just trust me on this one ok. Beth Ford who goes by sisterbeth in the forums needs our prayers. Id like to start a prayer chain. I dont care if you believe in God or not because HE believes in you and he does listen to prayers. Id like everyone out there to remember Beth in your prayers each night and to ask God to bless her. I would also appreciate it if when you go to church to ask all the people there to also pray for Beth, it dont matter if they dont know her cause God does and he'll know who theyre talking about. God hears us when we pray, when we all pray together we make alot of noise. Thanks everyone I appreciate it.:cwds:

Thank you all so much, Reading this is the first time I have cried since I got the diagnosis. I guess I should have told Becky that she could say what is wrong. I got the official word this morning that I have colon cancer. My concern if for my girls. They are all adults, but just lost their father last July, so are quite concerned about this. I see the surgeon this morning. He goes to my church, so I plan on asking him to pray with me before he starts the surgey. Not sure when it will be but am hoping for very early next week. I don't know what this will do to my plans to move to Denver, but I am hoping I will still be able to do it. Again thank you so much.

I definitely will be praying for you. I do have a strong faith in God and find such comfort from Christian music. If you do, too, then maybe you'd like to listen to this song by Natalie Grant "Our Hope Endures." It has been inspirational to me lately. ((hugs!))

Beth, I'm so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I hope the cancer can be removed entirely and that you're on the road to health soon. I have 3 close relatives who have had colon cancer, and all are in remission, so it is very survivable. (Hope that doesn't sound like I'm minimizing the diagnosis. I can't imagine how scared you must be. I just wanted to give you some positive stories from my personal life.)
I will DEFINITELY be praying for you. Many, many hugs from Illinois.
Hearing CANCER - whether you are the patient or if you are the child - it is such a devastating thing. I hope that your cancer is easily treated, chemo is easy, and it has not gone anywhere it shouldn't. For you and for your girls, I hope you find the strength you need inside to never give up and keep fighting!

Dear Beth, prayers are going out to you and your family from Ghana. I am sorry for your diagnosis, no one wants to hear that, but within the past 3 months I've had 2 SILS (both sides of the family) who underwent surgery for colon cancer and both are fine. I am sure you are in good hands with your surgeon, and God's hands will guide him. ((HUGS))
