What was your A1C on diagnosis? Anyone have a normal A1C but a high fasting blood sugar?

Maddison who is 6 was 8.5 for her A1C at diagnosis. I was 12 % or something close to that. :eek:

oh, sorry. i didn't realize this was a type 2 question. i am type 1. i bet type 2s often don't get so high, and perhaps ARE diagnosed based on high fasting sugars. don't know much about it though.
