Hello there...
After more than a year using the Quick-Set, our daughter has apparently become allergic to it: Redness, red circles, itchiness. Miriam is quite thin, we use 4 different sites.
I was wondering if you knew of a barrier product that would prevent such thing to happen and that would be available in UK.
Just got back from my pharmacist who told me they apparently don't carry Skin-Prep anymore? Is that true?
What else do you use?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Philippe

My daughter uses a different type of set, but is fortunate not to have these type of problems. I will go and ask some of the parents on the UK CWD parents mailing list what they use. There are certainly a number of the parents using barrier products

I will get them to come and post replies on the message board, or I will come back with some product names.

Sorry, I'm not in the UK, but over here we have Tegaderm. Maybe that's also available over there.

Tegaderm by 3M, transparent dressing

Hi Philippe

Two UK parents suggest Cavilon 28g spray which you can get on prescription and if that isnt enough on its own, you can get Tegaderm dressings to put under the sets. This was advised by one of the pump companies. One parent found that Cavilon on its own wasnt enough.
