I'd like to take the family to the Poconos, but I have no idea where to go or what to do. I was looking at the Fernwood resort which seemed nice. The last few years we have gotten next to nothing in snow and my son would really love to play in some.
Any suggestions would be great!

When I go to the Pocones I always go to Jack Frost, Big Boulder. These are two different mountains across the street from each other and if you purchase a lift ticket at one of them and buy rentals then you can use it at the other mountain as well. They also have tubing there as well. Another place that is a lot of fun but is not in the Poconos is Blue mountain. They have a lot of different trails to ski on as well as a big tubing part. At the tubing part they have family sized tubes which can fit up to 4 people. The only problem with this one is that on weekends it can tend to be pretty busy. I am headed up to the Poconos tomorrow morning. If you have any other questions let me know.

I have to agree with the first responder. I personally prefer Big Boulder and Jack Frost. Never have been to Blue Mountain.

Ohhh. SpliT Rock Resort.
THey have their own game hall, pool, bar, rest. INDOOR WATER PARK ,movie theater, bowling alley. THe list goes on.
We stayed there last spring for a diabetes family camp and never left the hotel the whole time we were there.
They have trips planned if you want them, all sorts of hiking, etc.
Lots of fun.
Enjoy,
