A good feeling

Kylee is staying the night with her best friend tonight and for once I dont have to worry about her being taken care of. The girl she is staying with was diagnosed with type 1 a few months ago and her parents totally get it. She and Kylee have been friends since they were very little(we are also friends with the family, my DH and the girls dad have been friends since high school), and this has made them closer. Its such a great feeling knowing she is somewhere that I dont have to worry about. No long explanation of what to look for, what to do, when to check, how to count carbs(Kylee knows how but I still tell the parents the short version), call at this time so I can make sure she gets her Lantus. I know it will all get done.

She is doing really well, thanks for asking. She and Kylee are pretty much tied at the hip. Both her mom and I think its great that they have eachother and that they will really be a great support for one another in the years to come. Her family seems to be dealing with it really well too.
