Hi,
We are very close to getting a pump for my 14-year-old son and have pretty much settled on the Animas, but have one lingering concern. I have seen threads on other forums suggesting some people are bothered by stinging from Animas boluses, which are delivered quickly compared to the minimed. Some say that even set to "slow" delivery (which I think is 1 unit every 4 seconds) it stings because each individual unit is still pushed out fast. The rep I asked said that she has only ever had two people complain of this, both on really high doses, and that their problem was totally solved with the slow delivery setting.
So. Aaron does sometimes get stinging from his injections, and injects quite slowly to avoid this. I'm just wondering if anyone whose child uses the Animas pump has had a problem with this at all?
