in the 15 years I've been living here:D
Finally convinced DH, who is opposed to all the Christmas/religious stuff to get one.
Ok, so it'll be an artificial one. My choice on that, because 1)I'm cheap and 2) I don't like getting a tree to throw it away again.
In any case I'm excited, because it'll be a normal size one, not a puny one like DH wanted at first:rolleyes: and maybe spirits will be lifted a big higher again.;)
I am so excited.

Have fun with it!!!!! Another plus to an artificial one is that you'll have it next year so that it's almost a given that it can go up. LOL.

Enjoy it. Most of our ornaments have been given to us or hold special meaning to us. Post a picture of your tree.:cwds:

Ours is a fake tree too. I light a Yankee candle in the Balsam Fir scent to fool me into thinking it's real. The twinkly colored lights are key for the pick-me-up factor. Enjoy!

I am excited for you guys! I think that's wonderful. Have fun decorating it and and don't be afraid that there's such a thing as too much... too much lighting, decorations, tinsel, etc. When it comes to a Christmas tree, there is NEVER too much! :D We have an artificial tree, too, that is nearly 40 years old. Weighs and a ton because it's steel beneath the green, but it's beautiful. And if you see the artificial trees here in Ghana (YUCHH!), you will love it all the more. Ours will go up soon, but only at my SIL's house, as she is putting us up for Christmas since our place is too small for this 8 foot monster.

Post a picture when you're done!

That is great, hey we have a fake tree also, we use to get real ones, but I figured the lights are already on this one and its alot easier.. But I let the kids do the decorating..
