:( When I first got my pump it was black and boring i mean really boring and with all my stuff especialy the things i have to wear all the time they have to look cute and my my mom wanted me to wear this ugly case with it too:confused: so I went to the mall and I went into claires or what ever accessory store you have in the mall and i went nuts i bought charms for it pretty cell sparkly cell phone cases in every color and.......I got bling bling thats what they even called it its little gems with glue on the back that you stick on to stuff so know my pump is kool:cool:

write if you have any comments about your pump or if you think this is a good idea for when you are getting a pump.

That's cool, way to go for making it all your own! I usually wear it in the 'ugly' case that came with it, I don't mind it so much. Being I usually wear the pump in my pocket and not in a case, I don't really wear it that often. My pump is blue too, so it's not so ugly. :) That is a good idea though, way to be creative!

Yay! Good for you! I had a hard time with that at first too. But now, things are all better. I also went and bought a "fun" case for my pump. theres another picture of it around here somewhere. heehee.

Anyways, that's good to hear other people like to "accessorize" their pump too. Yay!

I AM GETTING A PUMP SOON AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT I COULD DO WITH IT. I THINK THAT THE LITTLE GEMS ARE SO COOL I NEED TO GET SOME OF THOSE. THEY HAVE SOME CASES ON FIFTY50PHARMACY.COM BUT THOSE ARE BAYISH, SO I DONT WANT TO GET ONE OF THOSE. :cwds: :)

Hi insulinfreak,

Cell phone cases are great! I just got 2 from wal-mart, they have a loop on them that you can attach to your belt loop. I like them a lot! There's a lot of nice cute cell phone cases out there, so look around.

Hi Angel of God,

A pump is a substitute for shots. Normally you have your long acting insulin, then short acting insulin to correct highs or cover food. Well, the pump delivers a very small amount of short acting insulin 24/7, then you can push a few buttons and it will deliver you some more to fix highs or cover food. I'm not so good at explaining things, but www.insulin-pumpers.org is a great site, check it out!

Any other questions feel free to ask!

Just thought I'd let you know that my little boy keeps his pump in a pump pak.
We get them at www.pumpwearinc.com and they are brilliant.
Some are designed for younger kids but there are lots for teenagers and adults too.
Maybe you already knew about it but there you go anyway!!!!!
Hope it helps.

I don't have a pump yet, but I am really looking into getting one. This is a great idea, you could even get some fancy (& maybe the craft store has a cheaper version) swaroski crystals to bling up your whole pump. Nice idea!! You really should post a pic so we all can see how cute it is!!! :p

Hi,

Do you just glue this stuff onto your pump? I'd love to see how you've decorated it. My daughter loves anything that sparkles!

insulin pumps are machine things that hook on to you like a very mini iv. they dont hurt, and you dont have to have shots every day, only every few days. They ROCK!! :)

Hey -
my daughter's just got a Minimed pump and they provide some cool covers in that neoprene material - looks great and lasts forever.

Does anyone know of anywhere else to get cool covers?

That's a great idea, but do peolpe question you on your pump like, "What's that?" If so what do you say? Do you tell people you have diabetes?
