will know that at the state house, the front doors are never opened - until the Gov leaves office, then he walks out through the front doors.
today, my dh will walk IN the front doors. :) It's a pretty big deal. They're doing some kind of ceremony (and old ceremony that they haven't done) where the units that have deployed return their Flags to the state. I am hoping to see it on Tv - I would have gone but its a bad day (half day for DD and 504 mtg for Ian)

I hope I get to see it - I hope they even have the news there.
They're also reactivating the 54th Mass Volunteer which was the first all black unit during the civil war (remember the movie "Glory" from the 80's?) So it's a big thing.

Wow Michelle, that's awesome!
Is your hubby still in the service? Jason was in the Marines before I married him and turned him into a civy. :p
Tell him thank you from us.

Joy, yes, right now he's on active duty with the Ma National Guard. He loves it. In "real life" as we call it - he's a VP with Macy's.

Too bad that it didn't get more press, but I'm sure it was still a cool experience for your husband. (And much deserved!)
