I so rarely have a good sensor with Medtronic these days. I keep getting weak signal which leads to the sensor restarting itself, or sensor error. I rarely get more than a few hours use before this happens. It is so frustrating that I am giving it up for now. I cannot get a straight answer from the help desk. Anyone else experiencing this?

That started happening to us when our first transmitter was near the end of its life (around 16 months). It sounds like a possible transmitter problem. When we got the new transmitter, the problem was solved.

Try replacing the battery in your charger with a new one, then recharge your transmitter and see if that helps. If not, you'll probably need to call minimed.

Thank you, I am very excited about resolution as I love, love, love having the information when my child wears the sensor. I will order another minilink and post the results in a week or two.

I also have had this exact scenario with a dying transmitter, agree it is so worth it when it works, but frustrating when it starts to go. Our current transmitter now is 13 months old, feel like it will be just a matter of time before it dies!

Aggravating as it can be, keep calling the help desk everytime, request they replace sensors if you think it is the sensors. If your transmitter is still in warranty, inquire about replacing the transmitter. If you feel like you are repeating the same story over and over to the helpline rep, ask for a supervisor, then hang on to their name/number and keep calling them directly...

We had a transmitter die, and it was only 3 months old - frustrating, indeed!!!! I encourage you also to keep calling the MM customer service line to have them help you. They will eventually replace whatever is needed though it is frustrating in the process.

Just replaced a sensor that was only 3 days old after it had "weak signal" and flipped over to "start" for the 4th time...am hoping it was just that sensor, but probably going to be right behind you buying another transmitter! Glad to hear you are back up and on track.
