Tyler will be starting on the pump on December 10th. He will be starting wrestling for the first time December 9th, with his second practice on the 11th. I am assuming that I will have him disconnect from the pump during wrestling, my concern is that having his site bumped will hurt or cause problems with the site.
Any wrestlers out there with some advice? (he will be using his bum for his sites)

Thanks so much!

Bumping shouldn't be a problem (unless he's using the kind of site that leaves the needle in) but I would worry a bit about a fellow wrestler groping for a hold and getting a hold of the set. Probably not a problem if it's UNDER his shorts -- Aaron wears his on his upper hips a lot so that would be more in the way. Have him bring back-up needles or pens just in case, and if seems like the set might get snagged you might think about slapping a piece of tegaderm or IV 3000 over the whole thing before wrestling (after disconnecting), just to smooth over the "profile" of the set. (You'd want to peel it off carefully, though, making sure you don't lift up the set itself with the film.)

Good luck -- with pumping AND wrestling!

My "guy friend" tyler wrestles in highschool and he has the pump. he disconnects for practices and matches. he just checks his bs during breaks and connects if he needs to
