I called Abbott to check on the replacement sensors I have ordered. They have moved the availability date to this Friday. I asked about people waiting for new receivers. She said that the computer say they were available on Nov. 7th, but they are not shipping yet. SHe was not sure if they are really in. I asked why all the delay. She said because so many people have been ordering that they are trying to catch up. I told her about my receiver battery thing and she put me on the list for another. I rememeber when Minimed CGM 'first' came out the sensors were backordered for a while. I talk to the same nice lady so much that I feel like I know her!:p They have been very nice though. Back in August when I called on the weekend for the very first sensor replacement the person told me that they do not replace sensors? I said what? Minimed does. Luckly, then have changed the process.
