All of my diabetic friends tried the ominipod but it made all of them sick. Has anyone been successful with it? They also said it hurt when it injected insulin.

not sure what you mean by the Omnipod making your friends sick.
My daughter has been on the OP for about 1.5 years. It is the only "pump" we have used but we love it. She thinks it hurts less than getting shots and it's only once every few days. Do a search on Omnipod on this site and you should see a lot of good information and experiences of others who are using it.

My daughter has been on it for almost 1.5 years as well and LOVES it. She has not had a shot since starting this. No pain with the injecting of inculin for her but if you get a HUGE bolus I am sure that it could sting.
Or a poor placement of a cannula, it would probaly sting.
I would ask your friends how it made them sick???
