Agghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Why is it so freaken hard for me to watch a little tv.

kids are in bed. had my bath, jammies on, kitty sittin on lap.and he's not bitting me.
new movie ready to watch.

nope. can't

tv/computer won't let me.

why can't we have normal tv/dvd player. why?
why does everything have to be so hard.
I'm tempted to go to basement and find dvd player and just hook it up to this tv. It will probably take me a hour and i'll just get madder, and madder.
I could go downstairs and watch on that tv. but that one is even more finicky. I just want to relax in my bed.
And do you think my tech support/dh will answer his phone?
I was thinking this week-what if something happened to him? I wouldn't be able to get tv's to work. They're working now, but in few days they probably won't. I'd have to find new tech support. and I bet they cost a fortune.
(he's in El Paso for past week-decided to take last 4 days to see that part of country)

If there is any tech support out there that knows how to work my system.
we have tv hooked up to computer. We have something called gbpvr? whatever that means. used to have media center-that worked great.
whenever i push dvd button it just pushed dvd in and out.that does a lot of good.

I'll just go get another drink. Tech support will be back tomorrow. I've got a list for him. I can work on that now.

Thanks for letting me vent.
you'll can get back to reading political posts etc etc

OMG! Can I relate? My DH travels for work. He is always trying out some new technology gadget out on our tv, phone, or computer network. Half the time he leaves with something only halfway set up.

Can I use a normal every day phone? No of course not. My husband wants to play with a new PBX. So when someone answers a certain phone in the house, you can't pick up a different phone to take the call, you have to go find the phone that was first picked up, because he hasn't explained how you "park and unpark" calls. We have 5 levels in our house and 7 phones. I just want to be able to answer my freaking phone without running all over the house!!!

I'm on a roll tonight (see the political threads).

Might I suggest that you write down the steps you remembered, laminate the piece of paper with Clear Contact Paper and post it near the spot that you were reclining?

As the unpaid IT/Audio/Visual/Telephone/iPod/stereo technician at both home and at work, it is heartwarming to have someone actually remember something that you've shown them a dozen times.

<And the fire spreads some more...>

He's goin to be sooooooo proud of me.
I can play a DVD. upstairs and down!!!

It is a pain to turn lights on downstairs though.
Wouldn't a switch be easier than going through computer.

DH hasn't gotten into phones yet. I don't think he really likes phone since I can never reach him by phone. I secretly think he's spy.

And no thankyou I'll stay away from politcal threads.

Mine only got into the phones because its a phone system he can control through his computer.

Now the slingbox on the tv I love. We can watch and control our directtv from any computer. Only thing is DH thinks it's funny when he's away to change channels from his hotel room when we're watching something at home.
