It seems like a lot of kids these days have severe food allergies. I'm just wondering, how many kids here have really bad food allergies. Laneys allergic to peanuts and shellfish. What are your kids allergic to?

My son (non-D) is allergic to Eggs, Milk, Peanuts and some Tree Nuts. My husband has recently become allergic to Wheat, Rye and Barley (this is a true allergy and not Celiacs). Erin Grace has no known food allergies, although she is having worsening of her eczema so we need to get some testing done.:(
There is something causing an increase in food allergies. I hope someone discovers the reason before too many others are in my family's situation. Everyday I try to figure it out.

Ava has had severe allergic collitis since she was about 4 weeks old. It's fine if she's on her diet, but she's allergic to milk, eggs, soy, almonds (haven't tried any other nut or shellfish), and gluten intollerant.

Sean is highly allergic to peanuts, and Alex has exhibited tendencies to allergies to peanuts (she broke out in hives the one time she "tried" to eat one). Now, just for safety's sake, I don't allow any of the kids to eat peanuts.

It would seem Bozzie is allergic to tomatoes--or at least catsup. His rear gets super red and raw for a couple days following. I assume it's the tomato as there is a family precedent. My mother. My other son becomes Satan if he eats something with a lot of food coloring in it. Gogurt, which he ate once in his life, turned him into evil violent crazy boy.
Otherwise, I have a sister allergic to chocolate and the pink liquid benadryl - clear is fine - what a cocktail that was. She's allergic to something else too that escapes me. My brother became allergic to lots when he hit his teens - corn, chicken, garlic, onions. He swells up and stops breathing. My sis seems to just swell up; not sure if her breathing is compromised. (Can you tell I moved out when she was a baby and have lived hundreds or thousands of miles from her since she was about 4?) My brother is closer to my age, so we grew up together. Hence, more knowledge on his "stuff."
Lobster and crab make me itchy and "drunk" - my sis too (my other one who's older than the chocolate allergic one). Not so much an allergy maybe as a reaction of some ilk. Not sure what's up with that. Used to drive my mother nuts. Thought she couldn't take us anywhere until she figured out the drunken rowdy behavior only happened with the lobster/crab.

Max was allergic to milk and soy, but out grew it by age 2.5 or so. He'd blow up like a tic and wheezed if he had a bite of something with milk (found that out the hard way with baby yogurt).

My dd (non d) was severly allergic to dairy until recently. My sister is allergic to onion, and another sister used to have a wierd reaction to garlic bread, she'd get extremely hyper. Haven't seen her for 11 years so not sure if she still does. I'm lactose intolerant, and my birth mother is (or was, not sure) allergic to dairy too.

Nada. She used to be allergic to milk, but doesn't respond to it anymore. She is starting to show symptoms that may be gluten intolerance though, but that really isn't an allergy per se.
